Biography

Charles is admitted to practice law in Texas, Guam and the CNMI.  He received his BA from Marquette University and his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

Charles has extensive experience in virtually all facets of commercial real estate, including sales and acquisitions, commercial and residential subdivision, zoning and permitting, planning, leasing, and secured financing and debt restructures. He also has widespread experience in integrated resort development, restrictive covenants and covenanted communities, and construction management, as well as in the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and other business structures necessary to conduct real estate transactions.

Charles prides himself on not only identifying risks and issues, but more importantly on fashioning creative solutions to address and overcome the issues. Charles is recognized as a "deal maker" rather than a "deal breaker.”  Charles will help you successfully manage your most complex deals.

Charles also has extensive experience in helping financial institutions and multinational corporations navigate complex regulations and expectations of regulators, exam teams, and law enforcement agencies, both civil and criminal.  Every day Charles advises clients on their responsibilities, their rights, their ethical and professional obligations, and the consequences of getting them wrong.

Prior to founding the firm, Charles held the position of Vice President of Legal and Compliance for a publicly traded company engaged in integrated resort development.  He also served as associate attorney for the law firm Berman, O’Connor & Mann and clerked for the Honorable Vernon P. Perez in the Superior Court of Guam.
